NIPOST, has assured its customers in the zone of quality service delivery;

NIPOST, has assured its customers in the zone of quality service delivery; 
ENUGU Zonal office of Nigeria Postal Service, 

even as it said positive steps have been taken to take its services to the grassroots. Enugu Zonal Manager, Willie Ekong, spoke during the celebration of World Post Day, attended by representatives of some federal bodies like Nigerian Customs and Federal Road Safety Commission, among other dignitaries.

 According to him, NIPOST is restructuring and it is hinges on quality service delivery with the concept of “Posting the Post into Prosperity,” explaining that this is anchored on four pillars with 18 programmes, which brought about creation of seven commercial business units. 

He said the “purpose of World Post Day is to create awareness of the post in the everyday lives of people and businesses contribution to the social and economic development of countries,” adding that “positive steps have been taken to take the post to the grassroots

.” In a lecture, Dr. Innocent Chibuzor Anidu ex-rayed the relevance of the post in the era of information and communication technology, ICT, and noted that “NIPOST needs the free divers at all levels, because these are the people that can establish and sustain the relevance of NIPOST in the era of information and communication technology.” 

NIPOST used the occasion to dismiss insinuations that “communications technology threatens the existence of the post, rather, ICT opens opportunity to the post, hence it has brought about efficiency and improvement in service delivery.”
